To create a realistic sound insulation rendering for virtual scenes the building elements should be modelled as they exist in the real world rather than just processing them as homogeneous signal plates. Thus, a fine representation of the building acoustical environment is achievable by taking into account the door, windows (i.e. portals) that are present as a part of the walls inside the built-up environments. Therefore, the combination of sound transmission through each part of the building elements could be more realistic in auralization and perception point of view. For this purpose we will focus on integrating the sound insulation filters for all possible segments of the partitions based on ISO standards and subsequently implementing and rendering into VR environment for auralization. The goals of this studies, at the first place, is to model the outdoor source for the outer walls of the building for the direct part of the sound filed. For the outdoor source the oblique incidence of the sound filed influences the transmission of energies via walls, therefore, it would be of great interest to find out if there is difference of sound level inside the room for different position of the outdoor sound sources (i.e. different oblique incidence of sound power on the walls). Secondly, implementing the filters for auralization and performing listening test to find out the fact that for outdoor sound source the directivity and the position of the sound source around the buildings matter for localization of these sources.
