The lecture "Technical Acoustics I and II" addresses the basics of acoustic phenomena and provides an overview of the main aspects of acoustics. It is supplemented by excercises and a laboratory which deals with standard measuring techniques and includes experiences in acoustic measuring techniques.
Subjects:
Fundamental terms of vibrations, sound field quantities and wave equation
for fluid media, plane waves,
spherical waves, physical properties, sources, reflections, refraction
and diffraction, Doppler effect, propagation in tubes, tubes with non-constant width,
sound waves in closed cavities, propagation in isotropic solids, waves on plates and beams, properties and perceptional performance of the ear, music and speech.
Type of excercise: Rechenübung
